Materials:
1 oz. Strawberry Cream cotton worsted, Size F hook
Directions
Rnd 1: ch 3, (counts as beg ch and 1st hdc), 7hdc in beg ch. (8 sts)join,
rnd 2: ch2 (counts as 1st hdc throughout), 1hdc in same st, ch 1, (2 hdc in next st, ch 1)7 times, join (16 hdc)
Rnd 3: ch 2, 1hdc in each of next 2 sts, ch 1, (1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each of next 2 sts, ch 1) 7 times, join (24 hdc)
Rnd 4: ch 2, 1 hdc in each of next 3 sts, ch1, (1 hdc in same st, 3 hdc in each of next 3 sts, ch 1) 7 times, join (32 hdc)
Rnd 5-11: Continue as in Rnd 4 adding 1 hdc on each "side" of the octagon.
Note: I prefer my dishcloths small so I stopped at Rnd 11, you can continue to your own preferred size, always increasing 1 st on each "side".
